CID is one of the Indian serials for the last 20 years. CID is a crime serial which aired for the first time on Sony TV in 1997. He told during a BBC conversation that the producers of the show had already announced the closure of the show, but according to him this thing was going on for 2 years before the CID closed. He told more things in which he said that Sony channel has been behind the closure of the show for 2 years, but he should not be held responsible for this. That's why he wanted to stop the show on its own. He further added that our show used to come three days in the first week, which aired on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, but slowly the show was closed on Fridays, then Saturdays and Sundays. She does not agree but according to Daya, the condition of the show was very good and the show was going well.

Dayanad Shetty says that the show is no longer the same and is not running as it used to be. Whereas everyone from that child to elder loved to see CID.
